From bustling newsrooms to young, idealistic startups and global enterprises, I have navigated a unique career across broadcast, print, and digital media over the last 13 years.

 

A multimedia journalist, I started my career as a producer, creating compelling feature shows. One of these was incorporated into case study modules at the prestigious Harvard Business School by virtue of its well-researched and insightful content. This opened the doors to a successful partnership as I went on to produce three special series on leadership and strategy in collaboration with Harvard Business School.

 

Thereafter I was part of the founding, core launch team at a digital media startup, focused on creating cutting-edge content about Indian history and culture for new-age audiences. The challenges and uncertainties of bringing a startup to life were rare training in digital media and technical skills, innovation, and managing a team of talented, diverse professionals.

 

These opportunities allowed me to hone my skills as a journalist, content creator, and above all, a communicator able to convey ideas and create strategic content with context and nuance.

Eventually, as a media and communication consultant, I helped companies like global impact investor Omidyar Network India and multinational HR tech startup Tydy engage with audiences and gain traction in the digital world through blogs and special features. Throughout the duration of these highly successful partnerships, I worked remotely, often in different time zones. Yet I was able to seamlessly communicate and collaborate with internal teams, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards for each project.

 

I currently work with an IP law firm based in the US. My role in the communication team includes driving content strategy and writing interesting well-researched content around intellectual property and law, such as blog posts, in-depth legal reports, breaking news articles, and social media content. I’m also mentoring a team of writers in journalism, news sourcing, and news writing. My team is spread out across the USA, Mexico, South Africa, and India and I work remotely in complete collaboration with them on a daily basis.
